Emotional Support (ES) Dogs are well trained dogs that perform a job to help an individual, but the individual may or may not be disabled. They generally don’t take as long to train and therefore aren’t as expensive as service dogs. ES dogs also don’t have as many rights as service dogs. For example, a store owner may legally ask an ESD Team to leave the property.
Many people don’t know this, but there are 30+ public stores that allow dogs! Some of them include: Bass Pro, Lowes Home Improvement, Pottery Barn, Barnes and Noble, Macys, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Bath and Body Works, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Gap, and Bloomingdales. These are places that allow you to shop with your dog, even though it’s not a service dog! Do you want your dog to be good enough to accompany you into your favorite stores? I know your pup does!
